Canadian-trained pastor installed in Odessa, Ukraine

On August 22, the Lutheran congregation in Odessa welcomed Rev. Oleg Schewtschenko as co-pastor of their congregation. He will serve with Bishop Viktor Graefenstein who lives in Germany and, except for periodic visits to Ukraine, is generally absent from the Odessa. 

For the past three years Pastor Oleg attended Concordia Lutherasn Theological Seminary in St. Catharines, Ontario and is known to many people throughout Canada. He was also enrolled at the University of London in England and studied by extension. A native of Ukraine, Pastor Oleg is fluent in German and Russian as well as English.
