Eighteen weeks in Calgary—since their arrival May 31—has seen the Ibrahims settle into a busy and focused routine. On Friday and Saturday, January 18th and 19th the inaugural meeting of the West Regional Mission and Ministry Council (RMMC) took place at Foothills Lutheran Church, Calgary Alberta. The council members enjoyed the hospitality of Pastor David Bode, Deaconess, Miriam Winstanley and a host of hard-working congregational members who provided transportation, billeting, and meals.

CANADA – During the month of October, the three Districts of Lutheran Church–Canada (LCC) welcomed members to their final regular conventions before the transition of the new LCC structure in January 2019. Central District’s Convention was held between October 1-3 in Winnipeg, East District’s Convention was held in London, Ontario between October 14-17, and the Alberta-British Columbia District held their convention in Sherwood Park, Alberta between October 19-21.
