CALGARY – It was a good goal, one to which every member of the outreach committee had agreed. The theology was not in debate: “Go and make disciples.” And the theory was sound: create an environment that unchurched people would find comfortable to allow for discussion on life issues.

PARKSVILLE, B.C. – The BC Mission Boat Society (BCMBS) has announced that they have engaged Rhonda Kelman as the agency’s full-time Executive Director. Kelman had previously been appointed Interim Director in 2016.

EDMONTON – Jennifer Jade Kerr has been nominated for the 38th Annual Covenant Awards—her fourth nomination since 2012. Kerr, a member of Lutheran Church–Canada, has been nominated for Collaboration of the Year along with Mike R. Schuster for their song “Nobody Loves Me Like You.”

EDMONTON – The Canadian Centre for Scholarship and the Christian Faith is encouraging people to sign up soon for their sixth annual conference—“500 Years of Reformation.” The conference will take place March 24-25 at Concordia University of Edmonton.
Rev. Dr. Robert Kolb, one of the world’s foremost scholars on Martin Luther, is keynote speaker for the event.
