We All Believe in One True God
by Edward G. Kettner
When Luther outlined the order of the catechism, he noted that first we need to see what God would have us do and leave undone. Then we need to see what provision God has made for us because we have not done or have left undone what God says we should. The commandments clearly give us instruction for our …

by Ted Giese
The Case for Christ is a docudrama detailing the story of a Chicago Tribune reporter, Lee Strobel, who attempts to disprove Christianity after his wife, Leslie, becomes a Christian following a “chance” encounter with a nurse who saves the life of their daughter. Sensing something more than coincidence at work—the right person (a nurse) in the right place (the restaurant) at the right time (a choking incident)—Leslie eventually accepts an invitation to go to church with the nurse. Easter-and-the-Reformation-Faith---banner

by Kurt Lantz
Easter is a good time to celebrate the Reformation. Martin Luther at least would not want us to forget about the reformation Gospel on this great festival. In an Easter Sermon, preached at the parish church on April 13, 1533, the good doctor confided, “It is my greatest concern to sustain your interest in this article so that when I’m dead and gone, I might have left you with this treasure. For it is very evident that when those of us who are now preaching are dead, factious …
