Future pastors need your help

“Basically, our financial aid department is broke—with a full batch of students due to arrive in less than three months” reports Dr. Stephen Chambers, dean of Student Life and director of Financial Aid at Concordia Lutheran Seminary, Edmonton. Between the market decline last year which reduced endowment earnings significantly, and an overall reduction in other gifts, the account which provides support for students studying to be pastors is empty.

Dr. Chambers suggests two ways to assist the seminary:

1) Make an immediate donation by using the DONATE button at www.concordiasem.ab.ca/
2) In CLS’s silver anniversary year, consider a monthly pledge of $25, $125, $250 or more as part of the seminary’s Adopt-a-Student program. Contact Rev. Daniel Deyell to set it up (ddeyell@concordiasem.ab.ca).
Your gift may be the one that ensures your LCC congregation has a pastor in the future.
