Installation service set for LCC President, Board of Directors

Rev. Timothy Teuscher

WINNIPEG – The Installation Service for Rev. Timothy Teuscher as President of Lutheran Church–Canada is set for Sunday, January 28, at 3:00 p.m. in Saint James Lutheran Church, Winnipeg. The Service will also include the installation of newly-elected and continuing members of the LCC Board of Directors.

Following a time-honoured custom in some of our partner churches, President Robert Bugbee had served as preacher for his own installation in 2008. President Elect Teuscher has chosen to carry this custom forward, which will give worshipers a welcome opportunity to hear the new President in a central function of his office, as a preacher of Christ’s Good News. His predecessors—Revs. Edwin Lehman, Ralph Mayan, and Robert Bugbee—will preside over the rite installing the new President.

In addition to international guests who plan to attend, LCC pastors and church members in the Winnipeg area are encouraged to come to this festival event.

Rev. Teuscher was elected President of Synod by the 11th LCC Convention in October.  For the past 22 years, he has been serving as Pastor of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Stratford, Ontario.
