Love Life Conference to address euthanasia

EDMONTONlove-life-2014Preparations are underway for the 9th Annual Love Life Conference, with Alex Schadenberg—who serves as Executive Director and International Chair of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition—serving as keynote speaker of the event. The conference is scheduled for November 1 in Edmonton.

Executive Director Schadenberg will give two keynote addresses throughout the day. The first will be on “Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide: What Is It, What Is It Not, and Where Is It Going?” His second address will be on “Exposing Vulnerable People to Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide.” The day will also feature workshops by Dr. Ted Fenske (“Working Behind the Curtain: Countering Euthanasia with Care”), Alex Schadenberg (“Euthanasia and Eugenics”), and Rev. Marv Ziprick (“Being a ‘Paraclete’ to Someone who is Dying”). For more information on the keynotes and workshops, visit the Love Life Conference’s website here.

The Love Life Conference takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. November 1 at Concordia University College of Alberta. For those who register by October 28, the fee for the event is $25, which includes a snack and lunch. Late registrations and walkups also cost $25, but do not include the snack or lunch. Students, pastors, and rostered workers of Lutheran Church–Canada can attend for free, but must register in advance to receive the snack and lunch.
