Mission grants increased by LWMLC

Lutheran Women’s Missionary League-Canada (LWMLC) meeting in convention in Ottawa July 9-12, 2009 under the convention theme “Shine Like Stars” increased its mission grant goal by $25,000 to $125,000 . In addition the women raised more than $13,000 from a walk for missions. Subject to reaching the grant goal of $125,000, this will allow several additional grant proposals to receive funding. During the walk there were opportunities to talk with others about the group’s identity and mission.
