Concordia Lutheran Misssion Society welcomes new board members.

WINDSOR, Ont – The Board of Directors of Concordia Lutheran Mission Society held its Annual General Meeting February 1, at First Lutheran Church. There they reported on the many mission efforts the organization supported during 2008. By the grace of God and the generosity of His people all of the projects were fully funded. The board adopted a 2009 mission goal of $120,000 in support of mission projects in Ukraine, Nicaragua and Southeast Asia (see www.concordiamissions.org for details).

Featured speaker at the annual meeting, Oleg Schewtschenko highlighted for his listeners how he is a direct result of mission efforts in Ukraine.

In other action, the board welcomed new members Rev. Gilvan deAzevedo from Windsor, Ontario and Darcy Wershler from Winnipeg and recognized the services of Rev. Konstantin Hahn and Jodie Haberstock, whose terms have both ended. The board elected Terry Goerz, president; Darcy Wershler, vice-president; Lauren Bugbee, secretary; William Andrew, treasurer.
