Need accompanying organ music? Check out these CDs

ST. LOUIS, Mo – Lutheran congregations of all sizes can now incorporate organ music into their worship services.

Concordia Publishing House (CPH) has announced the release of the Concordia Organist – a set of 31 CDs that provide accompaniments to every hymn in the Lutheran Service Book hymnal.

CPH recorded the set after many congregations, especially small ones, expressed a need for accompanying music.

“As a small congregation, we have struggled to find accompanists for our worship services,” said Rev. Wayne King of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Belgium, Wis., in a press release. “There are many times that we just sing without one.”

The CDs were recorded in Kramer Chapel at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind., and feature organists Paul Grime, Kevin Hildebrand, and Richard Resch.

The CDs are now on sale for a special introductory price of US$499. The regular price is US$699. The CDs will also be available as an add-on subscription to Lutheran Service Builder customers this fall.
