Outreach conference ideal for snowbirds or winter getaway

If you are heading south over the winter or simply want to escape cold weather for a week, Lutheran Hour Ministries, in cooperation with the local LCMS district, is holding a Regional Outreach Conference (ROC) in the Phoenix, Arizona area. The two-day conference is packed with inspirational and practical events and information that will take individual outreach to new—and more confident—heights.

The event is February 18-19, 2011 at Fiesta Resort and Conference Center in Tempe, a Phoenix suburb.

This inaugural ROC will feature well-known speakers, specialists in their ministry fields, breakout sessions , live music by the talented indie-jazz artist Erin Bode and her band; a five14 witnessing-training track for teens, and “an outreach-themed vacation Bible school” for younger kids.

Conference registration is $69 for adults, $49 for teenagers participating in the five14 track, and $29 for children (kindergarten through pre-teen). Children younger than kindergarten are free. The registration cost includes all main stage and breakout sessions; the Friday night Erin Bode concert; all meals on Saturday; access to the resources in the exhibit area; and continued training even after the conference ends.

The Fiesta Resort and Conference Center is just minutes from downtown Tempe and very close to the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. The cost is $109 per night, which is valid for three days pre/post conference to take advantage of combining this ROC in your vacation plans.

Everything you need to know about the ROC is at http://www.lhm.org/roc/az.asp This conference is a fun way to get together with fellow Lutherans, learn from gifted presenters, and empower your Christian witness.
