Placement service for DPS interns and graduate

EDMONTON – On May 11, Concordia University College of Alberta (CUCA) celebrated the graduation of one DPS student and the placement of two interns. The service took place at Concordia Lutheran Church in Edmonton.

Kaitlin Schmitz has completed her degree with CUCA and is now a candidate for service in Lutheran Church–Canada. Deacon Schmitz’s placement is still pending.

Gina Lougheed and Stephanie Roller are entering their internships. Lougheed will serve her internship at Bethany Lutheran Church (Campbell River, B.C.) and Roller will serve her internship at Riverbend Lutheran Church (Edmonton).

President Don Schiemann of the Alberta-British Columbia District presided over the installation. Also taking part in the service were Dr. Tim Labron (Department Chair of Religious Studies at CUCA) and Rev. Mark Hennig (pastor of Concordia Lutheran Church).
