January 7, 2015 – Lutheran Church–Canada releases an initial statement responding to news from the ABC District that it “faces a funding shortfall” in its Church Extension Fund. READ MORE

February 9, 2015 – Lutheran Church–Canada President Robert Bugbee issues a pastoral letter on the ABC District situation to all congregations, pastors, and deacons in LCC. READ MORE

February 18, 2015 – ABC District President Donald Schiemann comments on the ABC District situation in his regular column for the January/February 2015 issue of The Canadian Lutheran. Every issue of The Canadian Lutheran includes District-sponsored news sections. February 24, 2015The Canadian Lutheran publishes another update on the ABC District situation, following news that the courts have agreed to extend the District Group’s Stay Period in CCAA protection. The report further notes that Lutheran Church–Canada stands to be affected by the court’s decision to not allow mission offerings from congregations to be remitted to LCC by the ABC District. May 8, 2015 – In light of the ongoing crisis in the ABC District, Lutheran Church–Canada’s Board of Directors publicly urges the ABC District to agree to Interim Pastoral Leadership, providing a suggested overture that would see the the separation of the pastoral and corporate functions of the district president. May 23, 2015 – The Alberta-British Columbia District, meeting in convention, has approved the separation of the pastoral and coorporate functions of the district president, and requested LCC to appoint an Interim Pastoral Leader for the region. READ MORE

May 24, 2015 – The Alberta-British Columbia District, meeting in convention, heard reports on the CEF/DIL crisis from the Court-Appointed Monitor, the Chief Restructuring Officer, the Restructuring Committee, and the District Review Task Force. READ MORE
