Update on Dr. Lehman’s health

EDMONTON – Last week, news of the hospitalization of President Emeritus Edwin Lehan was made available. At the time, Dr. Lehman had been admitted to the Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton to undergo treatment for an infection.

On Sunday, Dr. Lehman was transferred to the University Hospital in Edmonton. Further tests determined that he has cancer in one of his kidneys. Currently, the medical team is planning to perform surgery later this week to remove the cancerous kidney.

ABC District President Donald Schiemann visited Dr. Lehman on Monday. He reports that he is in good spirits and grateful for the prayers of God’s people.
