CANMORE, Alberta – The Canadian Rockies Theological Conference is gearing up for its 2014 gathering. This year’s conference is entitled “Strong Medicine,” and will feature prominent international journalist and lay-theologian Dr. Uwe Siemon-Netto speaking on the subject of “The Lutheran Doctrine of Vocation as Antidote to the Lethal Me Culture of Today.” Dr. Siemon-Netto is the Executive Director of the Center for Lutheran Theology and Public Life (Capristano Beach, California), and the author of such books as The Fabricated Luther and The Acquittal of God. The Canadian Rockies Theological Conference is a free conference open to Lutheran clergy and laypeople of any denominational affiliation. It will take place May 5-8 at the Radisson Hotel in Canmore, Alberta. Registration costs $300 and includes breakfast and lunch each day. Participants will be responsible for booking their own rooms in addition to this cost (with the Radisson providing conference rates).

Additional information—including the conference schedule, contact information, extended presenter biographies, conference rates for the Radisson, and shuttle arrangements for those flying into Calgary—is available in the conference registration package.
