Thailand Lutherans ready for new mission outreach

TAKUAPA, Thailand – A member of Takuapa Sahatay Lutheran Church has donated a tract of land west of the town of Kapong to begin a new Christian outreach to the area. Working with the Thai church leaders, Lutheran Church–Canada (LCC) missions has identified the area as a promising location for a new mission.

The land is on a major highway which will provide excellent visibility. The Thai church had tried to secure another property closer to Kapong but was unsuccessful. With land now available, the mission start can proceed.

Rev. Dr. Leonardo Neitzel, LCC’s mission executive currently visiting the area, reports that construction of a church building will cost US$8000. If you, your congregation or group are interested in funding this project, please contact Dr. Neitzel at missions@lutheranchurch.ca.

You can follow Dr. Neitzel’s Southeast Asia visit at www.lccontheroad.ca
