Making Summer Plans? Plan to attend a Lutheran camp!

CENTRAL REGION – As summer nears, Lutheran Bible camps in Lutheran Church–Canada’s (LCC) Central Region are inviting you to join them!

Camp Lutherland

Camp Lutherland (Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan) is offering “All Ages Camp” (age 7-14) on July 6-10 and July 13-17. Week 1 will be led by Rev. Adrian Kramer and Week 2 will be led by Rev. Paulo Brum.

Campers may attend full time or “Come and Go” providing greater flexibility for attendees who wish to attend just one or two days. The cost to attend is $250 per week (early bird registration is $225 until May 31) or $40 per day. Financial assistance may be available for those who can’t afford the total cost.

The camp offers canoeing, swimming, hiking, games, Lego, crafts, and campfires. The camp also holds Bible studies and worship services.

Jackfish Lutheran Camp

Jackfish Lutheran Camp (Roblin, Manitoba) is holding three weeks of camp this year. Junior week (ages 8-10) will be held July 6-11. Intermediate Week (ages 11-14) will be held July 13-18. And Mixed Week (ages 8-14) will be held July 20-25.

Registration is $150 per week, but those who complete their registration (with payment) by June 15 or who attend with a second camper will receive a $10 discount. Additional information, including registration forms, are available at www.jackfishbiblecamp.com.

The camp offers archery, canoeing, kayaking, fishing (catch and release), swimming, crafts, games, soccer, volleyball, canteen, singing, chapel, morning and evening prayers, campfire, Bible study, and trampolines. As of this writing, Jackfish Lutheran Camp is seeking counsellors ages 16-19, who are members of LCC congregations.

Aurora Lutheran Bible Camp

Aurora Lutheran Bible Camp (Thunder Bay, Ontario) is holding three opportunities to camp this summer. “Little Lambs Weekend Camp” (for parent and children ages 4-8) will take place July 11-13. The week after that will see Children’s Camp held for ages 7-12 from July 6-11. Youth Camp (ages 11-16) will take place July 13-18.

Registration for Little Lambs Camp is $100 (for one adult and one child), with each additional child from the same family being charged $50. For Children’s Camp and Youth Camp, the registration cost is $290 (with each additional child from the same family costing $240). If you bring a friend—not including a family member—who has never been to Camp Aurora before, you can receive a $50 discount (for week-long camps only.
