A message from LCC’s President to those impacted by the mass-murder in Nova Scotia

The hearts and thoughts and prayers of all the pastors and members of the congregations of Lutheran Church–Canada go out to the families of those impacted by the tragic and senseless mass-murder in Nova Scotia. May our risen Lord Jesus comfort them in their grief, sustain them in these difficult days, deliver them from despair, and hold them in His loving, life-restoring hands that they may meet the days to come with steadfastness and patience and with the hope of the glorious resurrection and a blessed reunion in heaven with those they love who have departed in faith in Him. “When aimless violence takes those we love, When random death strikes childhood’s promise down, When wrenching loss becomes our daily bread, We know, O God, you leave us not alone” (LSB 764 st. 1).

President Timothy Teuscher, Lutheran Church–Canada
