Annual Young Adult Retreat in Manitoba

WINKLER, Man. – On the weekend of May 29-31, 19 young adults from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Minnesota gathered together at Trinity Lutheran Church for a weekend of Bible Study, worship, fellowship, and fun under the theme “Faith Works!”
The group watched a movie about the conversion of C.S. Lewis and discussed it on Friday evening, closing with Compline. Saturday started with Matins and a Bible study on the epistle of James led by Rev. Alex Klages, teaching on the importance of living out your faith.
There was also a trip to a local amusements place for mini golf, bumper boats, and go-karting. In the evening, attendees played board and card games, went out for ice cream at a local ice cream parlour, and closed with Compline.
Sunday’s activities included attending service at Trinity, then going to Zion in Morden for the baptisms of two of the retreat participants who recently completed catechesis. The event ended with lunch and farewells.
Participants in the retreat look forward to doing it again!
