ATS reaffirmation of accreditation visit at Concordia Lutheran Seminary

EDMONTON – The ATS reaffirmation of accreditation visit at Concordia Lutheran Seminary (CLS), a follow up to the comprehensive self study report submitted in December, was completed virtually between February 8-11, 2021. Although the four-member Visit Team noted a few significant issues that must be addressed within the next two years, the team is recommending to the ATS Commission on Accrediting that CLS receive a 7-year extension of our accredited status, with approval of MDiv program, including the use of distance education for any of their classes. The outcome is tentative, since it is still only a recommendation until the official decision is finalized by the ATS Commission in summer, 2021. CLS team members expressed thanks to God for their accrediting relationship, and to all of their students and faculty/staff, as well as all of their partner congregations and dedicated supporters across Canada.
