IMPACT Youth Gathering early bird deadline approaches
WEST REGION – From Saturday, June 27 to Tuesday, June 30, youth, their leaders, and other volunteers will gather once again at Pines Bible Camp in Grand Forks, BC. Pines is in a beautiful location in southern BC, quiet and peaceful; and so beautiful that the youth gathering is returning to the same location for a second time.
The gathering programing is aimed at youth in grades 7 to 12 from the West Region, but all LCC youth and leaders are welcome. iBod volunteers and exhibitors affiliated with LCC are also welcome.
Community, growth, and equipping centred on Christ are IMPACT’s core values, and 2026’s theme verse is John 15:5; “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”
The speakers will be Dcn. Kathy Cornish (Riverbend Lutheran, Edmonton); Lisa Jackson (Lutheran Laymen’s League of Canada); Rev. Dr. Mike Kuhn (Concordia Lutheran Seminary, Edmonton); Rev. Eric Moffett (St. John’s, Beach Corner, AB); Rev. Alex Timm (Bethany Lutheran, Campbell River, BC); and Rev. Glenn Worcester (Peace Lutheran, Winnipeg). Each of the sessions will be based on a different aspect of the theme verse with the goal of equipping the youth to grow in their faith.
The early bird registration deadline is April 10, and the final deadline is May 11. Merchandise orders are due by May 1. Groups travelling from east of Grand Forks also have the option to register for a bus from Calgary. Registration forms and other info is available at www.impactyg.ca.
The planning committee includes Sonja Bland (Registrar), Rev. Alex Timm (Chaplain), Michelle Heumann (Co-chair), Rev. Eric Moffett (Co-chair), Kayla Moffett, Dcn. Samantha Neeb, and Rev. Glenn Worcester.
