K-W Lutheran School Society becomes K-W Foundation for Lutheran Education

KITCHENER, Ontario – The K-W Lutheran School Society has now become the K-W Foundation for Lutheran Education.

Following the closure of Christ Lutheran School in Kitchener, the society’s Letters Patent became out of date. Members later applied for revised Supplementary Letters Patent. That application has now been approved by the Government of Ontario, and revised Supplementary Letters Patent have now been registered.

In addition to the name change, the mission of the organization has also changed, from an operational role to a supportive role.

Sandy Hill, Chair of the K-W Foundation for Lutheran Education, expresses thanks to Ted Claxton, who first alerted the organization to the need to update its information and provided advice on the various options for a path forward.
