LCC Board of Directors to Meet October 15–17

National—Lutheran Church–Canada (LCC) Board of Directors will meet October 15–17, 2026, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, for its first meeting of the 2026–2030 term.

The three-day meeting will begin Thursday afternoon with opening devotion, followed by the welcome and introduction of the new Board roster. The Board will also elect its chairman, vice-chairman, and secretary for the new term and consider the appointment of the Chief Administrative Officer.

A significant portion of the first day will be devoted to Board orientation, including presentations on the role and responsibilities of the Board, governance, and reading and understanding LCC financial statements. The orientation will continue with additional resources provided to assist Board members as they begin their new term.

Friday’s agenda includes the installation of the Board of Directors during devotions in the chapel. This will be followed by updates on LCC’s strategic initiatives, reports from President Rev. David Haberstock and the Regional Pastors, and financial and administrative reports.

The Board will also hear reports from LCC’s Directors of International Missions, Domestic Missions, Communications, and Advancement, as well as the Associate Director of Family Ministries. Committee reports and reports from LCC auxiliaries and affiliates will also form part of the day’s business, running into Saturday morning, concluding with further Board business and assignments.

As the newly constituted Board begins its four-year term, the meeting will provide an opportunity for members to become oriented to their responsibilities, receive updates on the work of LCC’s various ministries and regions, and prayerfully consider matters before the Church.
