LCC member illustrates new book from Kloria

CANADA – Kloria Publishing has recently published three new board books, and one of them is by Harrison Avery Prozenko, a member of Lutheran Church–Canada.

Kloria is an American Lutheran publisher known for its production of beautiful children’s books illustrating beloved hymns. Prozenko’s book, Create in Me: Psalm 51 for Children, brings to life a piece of the liturgy familiar to many Lutherans. Prozenko’s book was selected for publication after he won third place in the Small Book category in a 2022 contest organized by Kloria Publishing.

Prozenko is also familiar to the church in Canada as the designer of the logo for LCC’s 2022 Synodical Convention, as well as a new badge for LCC which emblazons Luther’s Rose on a Canadian maple leaf. Additional information on his artwork, including his work producing confessional Lutheran icons, is available at his website at lutheranicons.weebly.com.

Prozenko was originally a member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Halifax but recently moved to Montreal, Quebec where he attends Ascension Lutheran Church (LCMS).

Prozenko is not the first LCC artist to be featured in Kloria’s books; Kelly Klages of Manitoba has illustrated two books for Kloria: I Am Jesus’ Little Lamb and We All Believe in One True God.

Canadians can order Kloria books, including Prozenko’s, through the website of Concordia Publishing House at www.cph.org.
