LCC youth gatherings announce date changes

CANADA – The co-chairs of the Lutheran Church–Canada (LCC) National Youth Gathering (NYG) and the co-chairs of the IMPACT Youth Gathering (formerly the ABC District Youth Gathering) have released a video talking about the upcoming change to the dates for both gatherings.

At the beginning of May, the IMPACT committee announced that due to the current restrictions on large group gatherings, the event scheduled for July 2020 would not be able to take place.

The NYG was scheduled for July 2021, but there are already some concerns about gathering in a group that size, so the NYG is being rescheduled to July 2022. The exact dates will be announced soon.

The IMPACT gathering has been rescheduled to July 1-4, 2021, and will still be at Pines Bible Camp in Grand Forks, BC. If it’s still not possible to gather in person by then, there will be a virtual youth gathering on those dates instead.

The two gatherings will be working together to provide virtual guest speakers to attend online LCC youth group events this summer and fall. Contact cochairs@impactyg.ca with details about your group, and they will help support local youth ministry with a guest speaker from a team of pastors and church workers.

For more information about either gathering, contact cochairs@impactyg.ca or lccgathering@gmail.com. Stay tuned for more updates at www.lccnyg.ca.
