Volunteers Needed for Lutheran Church–Canada Convention in Winnipeg

National—As Lutheran Church–Canada prepares for its 13th Regular Convention, organizers are inviting volunteers—especially those in the Winnipeg area or those already planning to attend—to help support this national gathering.

The convention will bring together approximately 500 delegates and guests from across Canada, creating a vibrant opportunity for worship, fellowship, and the shared work of the church.

Volunteers play a key role in making this event welcoming, organized, and meaningful for everyone involved.

Why Volunteer?

Convention organizers emphasize that volunteers help create an environment where participants can focus fully on worship, learning, and fellowship.

“Our convention is a meaningful gathering that strengthens faith, builds relationships, and renews the church’s mission,” organizers note. “Volunteers make that experience possible.”

Whether working behind the scenes or assisting guests directly, every volunteer contributes to a smooth and welcoming convention experience.

Volunteer Opportunities

A variety of volunteer roles are available, allowing individuals to serve according to their interests and skills. What skills have God given you that you are willing to steward in this way?

• Are you interested in Hospitality and Operations? 

• Would you be willing to serve in the area of Registration? 

• How are your Photography skills?  

• Do you have a knack for Communications, Graphics, Media, or for providing Technical Support? 

• You may prefer something more rudimentary and structured . . . Would being a Page suit you?   

There is an assortment of roles with diverse responsibilities, each waiting to be filled by a willing volunteer.

Who Should Volunteer? 

Anyone with a willingness to serve is encouraged to volunteer. Ideal volunteers enjoy helping others, are interested in supporting church events, and are willing to learn and assist where needed. No prior experience is required. Training and guidance will be provided.

How to Get Involved 

Those who live in the Winnipeg area or who will already be attending the convention are especially encouraged to consider serving. You are invited to indicate your interest by completing the Volunteer Interest Form.
